The project's challenges included creating “rooms” with in a single crude space on a shoe string budget and uniting the couple’s very different styles into a coherent design. By utilizing Lisa Marie’s attraction to the “shabby chic” and Alex’s “Palm Springs” modern tastes I found a happy medium designing with a "retro" sense of humor. Using furniture and appliances from flea markets, garage sales, and even discarded street finds, I created this playful and very inexpensive home design. Without walls, I zoned the loft with use color, style, textures, and furniture while keeping spatial harmony.
